ICT

Mission Statement:

The use of ICT at The Community College Whitstable is widely promoted and is at the very core of teaching and learning throughout the College. The department works closely with staff and students to promote and support ICT across the curriculum and at home.

The department has designed a variety of courses across the curriculum to meet students' needs and expectations to give them a greater understanding of ICT and computing in the 21st Century. Students now have the opportunity to explore what is behind the technology that they use every day. With the rapid progression in technology we see it vital to prepare our students for further education and have recently introduced programming into the curriculum. Students can expect to learn a programming language and create computer games. For a more in depth view of the content that we cover in the new curriculum, please see below.
