Lesson Supervisor

Required:  July 2017
Annual Salary:  Kent Range 5 (£17,827-£19,608), pro rata to £11,180-£12,294.
Hours:  27.5 hours per week (8:25-3:20pm Mon-Fri), 39 weeks per year (Term Time plus Staff Development Days).
Contract:  Permanent.

This post is designed to provide supervision of classes in the absence of the subject teacher or form tutor. The job is not a teaching role but will require good classroom management skills as well as a confident personality, a good presence, excellent communication skills and the ability to adapt quickly to a varied and constantly changing routine.  

Applicants should be well-educated, preferably to further education level/Level 3 or above, and will ideally have experience of giving support in the classroom, possibly as a Teaching Assistant, although other qualifications and personal/work experiences will be taken into account.  Employment will start after a one-week paid in-service training course.  There will be a six-month probationary period.
